Following a plant-based diet doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to be vegetarian, or vegan, and never eat meat or dairy. Rather, you are proportionately choosing more of your foods from plant sources.
Plant-based diets have been shown to support health, including a lower risk of developing coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and increased longevity. Despite, some misconceptions, plant-based diets can offer all the necessary protein, fats, carbohydrates, and nutrients for optimum health. However, some may require additional supplements in order to achieve this.
I highly recommend that if this is a lifestyle change that you are considering, you do so under supervision and guidance.
